'03 450 FSE oil change (grade)

hey everyone, new guy here.

have had my '03 450 FSE for about 6 months now (only used it a few times).
owners manual recommends 5W50 at page:7 and then 10W50 at page:44 so i put ipone full synthetic 10W50 when i changed oil first time

however, my bike was at the shop for the past week replacing starter clutch
and the mechanic there (he's the only GasGas go-to-guy within 1,200km range) put Bel-Ray mineral 10W40 in it. the mechanic himself wasn't there at the time but the guy at service counter said thats the oil he -the mechanic- recommends.

so, just wondering what kinda oil grade and type (synth/mineral) are you guys using or supposed to use.

Well...i used last season GRO 5W60 full synth but i think GRO discontinued it or my gasgas guy didn't take it in anymore...so this season i'll be using GRO 10W50 full synth.
It all depends what kinda riding are you doing. If fast tracks and no issue with cooling, i would say 10W40 is good. But if you do slow tracks, much clutch slipping then i would put 10W50 in. I'm changing my oil every 5 to 10 hours so will let you know how the 10W50 works.
But all that's just my 2 cents
