G'day guys,
I've got an '03 EC200 which I love to pieces. Anyway, I'm going to buy my uncle's '08 300 in around September, and am trying to find a reason to justify keeping the little yellow beast. The reason that stands out most to me is to motard the beast.
I would only use it for local trips, nothing more than 15-20 k's max at one time. I'd drop the gearing back to 13/50 or 13/49 or so, and go for the full on motard rims, with cush drive and all that flash gear. How do you think it would go? Would I end up killing it, even with only using it for short trips?
I know that 13/50 gives it a good top speed of about 110 km/h revving out nicely in top gear, but I'll probably go the 49 or even 48, don't need to be doing wheelies or anything . Got two years till I can get my bike licence, so that is plenty of time to kit her out.
I know what you're all thinking, why not motard the 300 over the 200? Makes more sense right? But I want the 300 as my bush weapon, as I love the torque for the hill climbs.
Does anyone know of any bore kits for the 200 as well, like a 220cc or so as well?
