Im in the middle of doing this myself but would appreciate anyone who's done it before giving me a bit of input.
The new subframe needs 'pulling in' on the lower mounts for it to fit the frame mounts, or it wants to sit on the outide of the RH one where the rear brake is. I can squeeze it in to fit but then it pops off the airbox front cover (dry assembled, not rivetted or sealed up yet).
With it 'squeezed' in as said, the back end lines up perfectly with the rear fender and mudguard in place. The frame mounts don't look bent on the lowers. The top were slightly, but now they're straight as a die.
This is the reason I went for the conversion. A throttle that kept sticking WFO at a recent H&H meant I flipped it 6 times. One broken seat and fender, and a subframe that's 'S' shaped.
