08 EC300 tail light question?

I have a tail light from polisport that fits on the 2 posts that stick out on the bottom of the fender but it only reaches about halfway back on the fender....

Do I just drill a hole in the fender and mount or am I missing another piece?

In all likelihood drill it. Just be sure not to drill the wires going to the taillight
