08 GasGas

1st post here.

I really want an 08 GasGas EC300 racing model. I have an 07 TM EN300 that
I absolutely love, but still want to try out the GasGas. I look forward to
going out in the garage and deciding which 300 to take out.

Anyone know who actually has these bikes?

Thanks.

No Ohlins forks available to GasGas, so no racing models for U.S. at this time. Ohlins is coming out with new insert assemblies for most modern forks called TTX cartridge kits instead of supplying lots of complete forks to GasGas, TM, parts unlimited, etc.

Eff,

there is a resemblance, but I thinkthe guy in your picture is better looking.

AngryTim,

my bike is at Dean's now (dropped it in a flooded creek at the last race) & I need to go get it, I'll see what I can find out.

Now that's funny. One of my all time favorite movies. I've been compared to the enchanter a time or 2.

Update: Foot in mouth. Dean called me today and told me he could get me one as early as next week. Didn't mean to come off negative. Dean orders me parts and even a bike w/ just a phone call, no check or credit card required. Great guy!

LAWMAN.. think you can give me a loan???

Look forward to being a part of this forum.

The names I've been called aren't appropriate for a nice site like this.

Hey Tim, you've got a 4RT and live in Tennessee, do you know any the Chattanooga trials guys? You going to the world round?

I've been to the TTC a few times. Great people there. I was going to go this year, but my nephew is getting married next weekend. I'm going back there again soon. Those who haven't been, a weekend there should be a must to do on your list!

AngryTim,

sorry man, I was going to ask for a loan from YOU to get my bike out of the shop. I've become addicted to having them do whatever it needs, I can't get away from my toddler to do it myself. they just keep rolling over my tab, just like a pusher or a loan shark....

I got the dealers edition, Gnarly pipe and TCII.

I haven’t taken this bike out for a real hard ride yet. Still need to put skid plate, radiator guards, etc on it.
1st thing I noticed is the power. It’s very smooth. This is a complete opposite of my TM EN300. The TM
hits hard and is just mind numbing fast. I have the LTR jetting kit to put on. I hope this adds a little snap to
the GG. Ultimately I’m sure I’ll like the power delivery on the GG much better, especially in the tight rocky single track.
The suspension is Sachs and seems to work very well. I still need to make a few adjustments, but 1st impression is that is
close to the TM’s Ohlins. I weight about 160, so the spring rates should be perfect for me.

I’m taking the GG to Arkansas the following weekend to ride in the tight rocky single track. I’ll give a real review of
the bike then.

come with us tomorrow to the enduro at St. Joe Park in MO, it's only about 5 hours away.
