Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the swingarm pivot bolt torque setting is for an 09 EC 450 ?
I've been through the poor excuse for a manual that came with the bike and found nothing.

How do you get lower triple clamps to right tension?
I tried to get with a torgue wrench 20 nm on it, but of course when I go for next screw other ones go loose, and at the end it felt waaaay too tight so I tightened them to ab. 10 nM.

Not sure if correct but I tighten each a little until they all click immediately.

when it comes to Gasser torque settings i recomend to check the setting before you remove the bolts that require to be torqued, its not that hard move up in 10ft increments until it doesnt click but tightens the bolts then back off 5ftlbs and you have the correct setting from the install, the manauls a joke and i wouldnt trust anythink else.

Yeah treat the manual with a great deal of suspicion!

Looks like the Spanish site no longer has an English version and no manuals! I think GG are having a brain burp recently. What with the whole Sachs debacle as well.

Your intuition is inline with others here.

It has been discussed here quite a bit. It's claimed if you over-tighten the bottom triple you will actually pinch the outer fork tube and cause stiction.

Check the last two posts HERE.

I alternate top and bottom bolts (with anti-seize) little at a time until I get 8Nm. Then snug up the middle bolt to 8Nm and don't look back.
