12-15 Exhaust Pipe reviews

Hey All,

I currently have a stock exhaust on my '13 300xc and knowing from the past couple years and the terrain we ride I will go through at least 2 in a season. Has anyone tried the Scalvini? It would be nice to hear from everyone and opinions on that and different brands!
Thanks!

Pipes

I have a 2015 300. I put a house of horsepower silencer on my bike, uncorked it and improved the responsiveness and top end. He (Richard Wilson owner of HOH) designed and has hand made pipes much like the Scalvini.
When my stock pipe is smashed beyond repair I will be buying his pipe.

House of Horsepower front and rear. Short and sweet...the bike flat rips. Has a deep open bike "bark" right off bottom and pulls MUCH harder than stock all thru the range. Only one problem....trying to get one since Richard has more orders than pipes.

Rod,

There is far to much paint on that clutch cover....

I have the FMF Gnarly on my '13 that I used as a replacement for my stocker when it was crushed beyond use. I liked the stock pipe better. The gnarly makes more bottom end power and a little less top I think. I think the stock pipe makes plenty of bottom.

My next pipe will be the HOH.

Old pictures, from when I put the HoHP exhaust on the 2014. Got it on the 2015 now.

I do need to mention this about the HoHP pipe. While you gain 1 inch in ground clearance at the header portion....you gain a little on the side.

Yes the HOH looks pretty nice Rod. Does he have a website w pricing and wait times? Although adding to the side may not be my favorite thing. I think I've read they are built a little thicker? Do u know what the metal thicknes is on it?

Torben,

I have a HoH pipe that I'm getting ready to install on my '14 300...Swing by if you want to take a look! My cell # is the same...I also have the silencer but be aware, they are not stamped USFS legal.

I have no idea of thickness, but I can certainly attest to the strength of Richards pipe over stock. This thing is beefy. Call Richard at 405-443-8267. Just be prepared to spend at least an hour on the phone ;)

Eric! Good to hear from you. I'm surprised I havent seen you out on the trail or something. I'll have to come by and catch up. I'm pretty sure I still have your # although I did switch phones. Didn't realize you got '14. The last I remember you had a 11? My # is still the same too

Thanks Rod! Does he have a website? I have a few small companies I deal with at my shop that are the same.....hours of bench racing etc....lol.

I run buds racing pipe and shorty muffler. The pipe is an HGS and its unfinished not plated. Muffler is carbon fiber. Bike pulls much better all across the board. Bottom end was improved as well as a lot more over rev. I'm very happy with it but the lower mount on the pipe needs relocated 2" down. Not a big deal if you can weld.

I raced several National Enduros with my HofHP pipe. I just went to RMATV and bought a pro moto billet spark arrestor screen. Take the end cap off the silencer drop it in there and good to go. They don't look for the stamp. Just stick a rod in there to check. Also got checked when I rode at Daniel Boone National Forest. Same thing just looked to make sure it had a screen.

Well, the two times I was checked here they both looked for the "USFS Approved" stamp on the S/A. They do things differently based upon the jurisdiction. I will say that most of the other folks I know here just had the "stick test" looking for an obstruction. However, my experiences are that they check (the last ranger was riding a WR-450!). Regardless, the HoH pipe looks good and the metal appears to be thicker than most. The silencer looks to be well made and the carbon guard is thick, too.

What does the larger cover on the left side do?
