15 e-start retrofit to older models

The e-start on my 15 seems to work great, has anyone tried to retrofit it to an older model? No concern with the wiring, just the starter drive to flywheel mounting. Sure would be nice to see the factory offer a kit.

I've looked at the diagrams and it seems like it would be a direct bolt on, other than possibly having to extend or relocate the wiring. Of course, at this point these parts don't seem to be available yet.
I'm one of the unlucky ones who can't keep my 14 e start working, anxious for the day I can upgrade the system.

I looked into it. My '14 system
generally works ok but isn't perfect. I worked out every part # needed to upgrade and got it priced up. Worked out around the $700 AUS mark to upgrade. Think I'll stick to my semi reliable '14 starter system

I think the crank on the 14/15 is different than the crank on 13. I believe the 14/15 has a male thread to hold the fly wheel on where the 12/13 has a female thread.

From what I gather the 14 should be a simple bolt on. But yes the 13 down use different crank/ignition/flywheel. I don't give up that easy, I'll give it a shot.
