2002 Gas Gas 250XCO

Hey Dave,

I had my first chance to really ride this bike this last weekend at the Hatfield McCoy trail system in W. Virginia. It was the most fun I've ever had riding a bike we rode everything from fast fireroads to make your own trail single track and the bike performed great. I'm going to have to figure out though how to get a little bit more low end grunt out of it, but let me say I'm very happy with this bike thanks. I am now a true GAS GAS convert, although nobody I ran into on the trip had even heard of GG. Ha

Thanks
Tim

Tim,
I'm glad that you finally had a chance to ride the bike and like it!! You may try a high volume power valve cover. LTR and I believe Checkpoint have them available. It will make a difference but don't expect huge gains. Go to Smackover website and ask jack about head mods etc. You may also find some info on this forum. There is low end power hidden away. Even better yet I am thinking about selling my 2005 300DE to buy a new 2007 or 2008. It has the perfect motor. Plenty of low end and it rev's out on top. Let me kow if you are anyone you know may be interested.
