2004 EC250 question

Can I add the map switch to a 2004 ec250, I know the cdi is the same 04-06, may be the same beyond those year ranges. Just wanted to be sure before ordering one.

I'd say call a dealership...I don't know the answer to that one. I've got an 03...see what you can find out for that one as well!

It's not. Late year '05s have the dual mapped CDI, but no switch. '06s have both.

yes they are different, I made the mistake of looking on gofasters parts list and it shows the same part numer for 04-06 for the CDI, which just must mean they will use the same newer CDI if you were to buy a new one, when I go to the gasgas parts book it shows they came with different part numbers on the CDI.

Yes but you can still use the newer cdi with dual map on your bike. It's plug and play
