2004 EC50 Rookie | USA

Hello everyone!

Wanted to get some thoughts on this machine. My knowledge of it is lacking at best.

2004 EC50 Rookie with low mileage and garage kept.

Have found this model was never actually sold in North America and was imported. Informed research led the PO to say there were less than 10 in US.

I love this little thing very much.

Classified as a scooter in my state. There is no licensing or insurance required to ride legally.

Imagine that it will need a top-end rebuild sometime soon but sounds perfect right now.

No idea where the best place to source parts for this machine would be.
Any information and thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Thank you for looking!

Mini Gassers section

If you have not found this yet. Read some of the posts in the
Mini Gassers forums.

Since these SuperMoto model EC50SM are rare in the US I did not
find much useful information and no real source for engine parts and
upgrades.

Although Treatland.tv and 1977scooters might lead to USA resources.

My Derbi50SM and my friends GG EC50SM in Las Vegas.

Wow. Did you know that was my bike? I'm sure that's the one.
You posted on that thread back in the day!

EDIT: I see, you have the bike that Flyinghorse was selling... disreguard below comment

The one in my Las Vegas picture is still owned by my friend so it is not
actually the bike you own.
Mark's was first sold in NY state. Now lives in AZ.
Although rare in the US there are several still kicking around.

The Derbi in my picture is also rather rare in the US, but, not so much
as the GasGas.

I suspect finding motor parts might require shipping from Europe.
These 50cc bikes are/were much more popular in Italy, Spain, France etc.

Best wishes.

Yeah no worries on the confusion. I was a bit myself.
Wasn't sure if you already knew by saying check this section of the board lol

You seen any others? These are the only two I could easily find.

Really appreciate the information both now and that you posted years ago.

Come ride quads with me someday! We are brothers in gasgas lol
