*I am running a new ad since the last one was 2 pages long and I couldn't add pics to the original post AND I do not think I'm interested in parting it out.
This is identical to the Gas Gas ec250, but w/ a lighter flywheel and MX-style ignition.
I think I may be retiring from riding. I never get to keep a bike for too long; I'm beginning to think someone is trying to tell me something. This time, I am recovering from a broken back and riding just isn't fun anymore - I am so scared of falling off of it I end up riding like an old lady.
I bought this bike *almost* new (1 hr on it) in April 2009 from a GasGas dealer. The previous owner rode it up and down a fire road and decided it was not for him. I have only put 10-12 hours of very slow, mellow riding on it. The bike has never been raced or even dropped at all. The engine is just broken in, while the suspension probably needs a few more hours on it. The only noteable imperfection is a tiny (smaller than a dime) dent in the pipe, which would be concealed w/ a pipe guard. The only scratches on it are superficial and consistent with 12 hours of use. The carb mod has allowed for spot-on clean jetting throughout the RPM range. The PV cover and head mod gives a nice boost to the bottom end and the plush suspension will coddle your body, unless you have a broken back. This Spanish-made work of art includes:
-Marzocchi Forks
-Ohlins shock (stock spring + brand new 50 spring)
-Factory headlight, tail light w/ brake light
-FMF Turbine Core II silencer
-FMF Fatty pipe
-Dual-mapping ignition switch
-RB designs Head Mod
-RB Designs Carb Mod
-LTR Power Valve Cover
-Flatlands Rad Guards
-MSR Handguards (w/ some trick-looking mounts)
$3500 firm OR
$3200 firm w/o handguards + mounts, rad guards, PV cover and light kit.
If the bike does not sell for this, I will entertain the idea of parting it out....that would be a shame. Let me know what parts you would be interested in. Also, I am always looking for an excuse to travel to the FL panhandle so would consider meeting b/w E. TN and that region.
I have a nice 5x8 open trailer and riding gear (all bought new w/ bike) I will not be needing anymore, either. If someone is interested in the bike + trailer + gear + various accessories, let me know and I will work up a price.
