Hi Guys
I hadn't checked into the site lately. Sorry I didn't respond back sooner.
I have the Title issued by California. It says Off Highway.
The bike was purchased new in Tennessee and was issued a license plate. So I'm assuming the way it was registered in Tennessee, it was street legal there.
The bike is in California now with a California Title.

New bikes don't come with titles they come with "manufactures statement of origin" (MSO). If the MSO had "offroad only" on it then a title would not have been issued in the state of Tennessee unless the clerk made a mistake (it does happen). If you want to keep the bike and legally drive it on California highways there is a possible way -if it did have a valid Tennessee title. Sell the ownership of the bike (transfer the Tennessee title) to someone in Tennessee but keep the bike and drive it in Calf. with the Tennessee plate on the back. They can't make you register it in Calf. if you don't own it and they have to allow it on the roads if it has any states valid license plate. I don't know how the insurance would work but it could probably be worked out. Let me know if I can help - I live in Tennessee - 2wheelsken@gmail.com
