2007 EC250 Complete part out

I have a 2007 EC250 with a worn steering head so I'm parting out the bike.
Everythings in good shape. Bike has ~ 60 hours on it with a new top end @ 50 hrs. Motor runs perfect with the LTR jetting and PV cover.

How do you wear out a sreering head? Just replace the races.

I probably could but don't have the time for another project and where entering our peak riding season. Also, I don't want to be worrying about it holding when I'm out riding. I'd rather part it out and get another bike.
I've tried shimming it and it didn't feel right.

What do you have as far as a steering damper setup?

Also, if you have an '08 seat I'm interested.

I tried changing the lower race and bearing but it's the area the race seats into that is way too loose.
I'm guessing the previous owner didn't have the steering stem nut tight enough and it egg shaped the lower bearing race seat.

Are the '07 frames completely different from the '06 frames?

Not sure either, but i thought that they just changed the subframe,tank,shrouds, and seat.

Before I start taking apart the rear-end assembly, is anyone interested in the whole back end for a conversion project?
I could sell the rear-end for $450. and if needed, the tank for $50.
