2008 Swing arm threaded hole ?

Does anyone else with a 07/08 have a small threaded hole on the top of the left side of their swing arm toward the axle end but close to the center of its length. If so what is it for? It bugs me! None of my other 300's have had this.

The thread was used to hold a chain guard

I figured it was something like that. Its to bad they couldn't have devised a way so the hole is on the inside of the swing arm, not right on top.

It is a pretty small hole and a stored bolt will probably not help you out to much in a pinch.

I have to say with a sign on name like Loosenut I bet your pack is full of bolts. No wonder your looking for more places to stash em.
