any feedback on this bike would be appreciated trail riding not for racing, what are they like to ride, are they fast in comparison to a ec300, anyone got a 2t and then rode this bike and what are their thoughts on it, has anyone made the transition from a 2t to a 4t and are they happy

ec 450 are more stable over the rough stuff extra weight helps there, they are plenty fast, the 300 would beet the 450 of the line but 5 to 6 gear the 450 would start to overtake the 300.
300 would be easier to rider in tight single track ,up hills its a personal thing, some people say 300/ 2s tire you out quick, then other say the 450's are to heavy and that tires you out. 4s power is smoother and more controlled than a 300, i would doubt if you changed over you would find the 450 lacking in power. I find 2S more fun to have a blast on but for day rides i prefer 4S.

i'd say the 2-stroke tires you out quicker until u get used to it, then it's easier all the way. Also, the 2-stroke is so much better when ur off balance. the nastier it gets the better i like my 300

in saying that wouldnt the 450 be better for long 2-3 day trips with your mates, im not after a blast for 2hrs and then go home thats why i feel the 450 would be a better option your thoughts!!!
thanks:)

Yes the 450 would be better on longer rides this is mainly due to less vibration and smoother rollon power and the more open the riding conditions the better the 4s are over the 2s, i do agree with redrider7202, when you are off balance a 2s is easier to bring back, but the lightest a lowest bike will always win there.

smooth, open, and you want to cover a lot of miles, 4-stroke. plus they handle sustained rpm better

tight, nasty 2-stroke all the way.

Longer rides 4T... no mixing of fuels, advantage of fuel injection-no messing with jetting on hot/cold days (summer/winter)
