2010 plastic

I really like the 2010 bikes that black looks sweet.I told my wife I was getting one and got that look (you know the one). So does anyone know will the new plastic fit my now looking old 07 ec 250.I have not given up yet on getting a new stead.Maybe I can just tell her its just new plastic.

Just make sure the new bike arrives already really dirty. You can't bring it home squeeky clean or else

A guy in my friends club used to put old plastic on his new bikes at first so his wife did not notice. My wife would walk right past a new '10 on the stand my '07 occupies and not look twice. I think the harder part would be hiding the finances.

I would have to break things so I would have a reason to be working on the bike non-stop, otherwise she would know for sure it's not my old 2003.

I was told at the dealer show that the 2010 plastic shrouds should fit well on my 07 bike. The rear fender however will require a change of the airbox because it doesn't protude down as far on the 2010 bikes. I'm not sure if the airbox covers have to be changed out too but you might as well because the new covers mount differently and are easy to remove. The 07 covers are a PIA to remove and worse to reinstall.
