Does anyone know what size the fork seals are for the Sachs, and are there any crossover parts available.

Cheers Brad

yep you can use the ktm 48 x 57 x 9.5/10

I hate to say this, but i think they are better than the GG ones. Especially if you use a degreaer to clean your bike, the GG ones tend to dry out and get v tight on the forks affecting suspension

The SKF seals are outstanding, no need to use WP (imho). When i had a -03 with wp43, they constant leak and i was changing about 3 times a year... The SKF have last for 14 month, and the new replacement was really smooth and easy to install!

reason i said the skf were not good is:

1 It is impossible to remove the dust seal without damaging it. I do this every time i ride muddy stuff and i remove the dust seal and clean out all the fine dirt with wd40

2 when i adjusted the oil level i had to really push the tube down over the inner which led me to believe that they were very sticky and/or tight.

maybe it is a result of the detergent i use (prepsol) but the ktm seals slide better (and as a result will possibly weep)

Allways, allways use silicone spray lube, and stroke them after spraying, on your hard chrome tubes and shock shaft after washing with harsh detergents.

I have found wd 40 to shorten fork seal life- it attacks certian types of rubber. Dont reccomend using as a cleaning agent for seals.
