Am I the only one to be really excited by the new MSOs? In addition to being printed on officially watermarked, high quality, suitable-for-framing paper stock, they list the "Body Type" of the new 2011 bikes as ... wait for it ... "Motorcycle".

Now THAT's change you can believe in!

... you can find my number on the website :D

Just got my 08 plated and DMV almost didn't take the MSO (yellow one).

What did the older MSO's have?

Mine already had a title for it when I bought it used so I don't know.

What do other brands say on it?

The '10s (and prior I assume) were printed on a piece of yellow copy paper. The main body of text was surrounded by a dark border, and below the bottom border were the dreaded words " "Competition" Use only."

An unscrupulous person ;) might have been tempted to shorten the form and then see if their DMV would notice. Other manufacturer's MSOs often include the "competition only" caveat as a pre-condition to import.

or just turn in a full page photocopy that misses the "off road use only" below the bottom border.

So what does the MSO say about competion use only? The DMV in Missouri will not take it if it says "competion use only" or "off road only". I have an 05 tht I keep becouse it is leagal to plate. If I could get a plate for a 11 that might just get me to buy new.

The only reference to the words 'off road' is as it appears in the title block for the importer. Body type is 'motorcycle' ... the word 'competition' does not appear on the MSO.

Street Legal kits?

Iam a newbie and long time KTM rider.

This is great news as I want to purchase a new 2011 GasGas 300. I am curious to know does any company make a DOT legal "kit" for these new Gassers?

Is the stock headlight, DOT high/low beam capable? Tail/brake light options??

I have kits that were developed by Sicass that utilize both high and low beams in the headlight. The brake masters are both plumbed to power a brakelight, which is also included in the kit.
