Hey guys,

This is my first post on here and my first GasGas as well. I have ridden four strokes (husqvarnas, hondas, yamahas) for a number of years now and since moving out to Ohio after graduating from engineering school, I wanted to get a great enduro focused bike. So came the EC200R, bought it locally and it really needed some TLC. Throughout the last month or two with the help from the guys down at Lancaster Sport Cycles and some help from Rod Overstreet as well, I have converted this bike over from the plastic subframe to the new aluminum one (what a hassle that was...). In total, I did all of the following:
-Aluminum subframe conversion
-New 2014 seat
-Front wheel bearings
-New front axle
-Fork rebuild
-Steering stem bearing lube
-New Pro Taper bars and grips
-Engine Map switch relocation to the handlebars
-Acerbis handguards
-clutch/brakes bleed
-piston inspection
-replaced all engine gaskets
-new radiators and braces
-new radiator hoses
-trans oil
-new sprockets front and rear as well as chain
-swing arm pivot bolt lube
-carb rebuild
-all new body plastics
and I'm sure there are more... Regardless, I have put a lot of work into it and have had a heck of a time finding parts for it. Finally got it out this last weekend to break it in and I have to say, I absolutely love it. These are fantastic bikes!! Now for the pictures:

If they gave out awards for a job well done you would get first place :D Nice Job Sam have fun with it !

Very nice!!!! Where you at in Ohio? I'm on the east side of Columbus.I belong to the Ohio Woods Riders, let me know if you are interested in enduros/dual sports.

Very nice. I bought a '01 XC200 and had to do pretty much the same to it.
Very worthwhile project though.

Thanks for taking the time to post.

Good on you man, way to tackle a project like that! I'm envious of the bike lift, been wanting one of those for many many years now (as well as a shop to store it in...lol).

She's a great looking ride, and perfect to see her all dirty after a good day in the woods.

Nice Beemer too, always good to see a couple different versions of 2-wheeled fun in the garage :cool:
