I see that they protect the front of the radiator but will they protect the sides if I lay it down. Thanks.

These will not bend like other rad guards. These are made from thick billet stock.

I put the UnaBiker guards on mine.
I was disappointed in how thin they were.

They do offer side protection like the Emperor guards.
