I'm doing an 80 hour piston change on my 2018 GP300 and found that that measuring with feeler gauges that the axial clearance of the big-end bearing is just out of work shop manual spec, measuring at 1.05mm (spec is 0.8 - 1.0mm max).
There is no up & down play in the conrod. The piston and barrel look OK apart from expected piston wear.
The manual states 120 hours for replacing the conrod.
Would I be pushing it to wait until my next piston change-out at say 150 hours to split the cases & change the conrod?
Thanks.
