2018 XC 300 Power Valve adjustment

Hey everyone,

Been riding an 18 XC 300 for a few months now. I find the motor a little on the weak side. I have it jetted nicely, I followed another members jetting recommendations for sea level and it runs great. Its clean and crisp off idle all the way to redline. The jetting did help the power a bit, but not what I wanted.

I did drop a tooth off the front sprocket, but it's WAY too dramatic of a change on this bike, it feels like it's lost an entire gear (I have dropped a tooth on all my other bikes and not noticed such a drastic difference).

I have been trying to find any information about adjusting the power valve, but the manual has nothing and I can't find any information online in regards to it.

Can someone give me a breakdown on what needs to be done and what you are running for adjustment?

Looking to squeek some more jam out of this thing, I am mostly looking for bottom / mid. I ride alot of trials trails that have really slow speed hits and splatters and need the bike to be more responsive.

Thanks.

Page 67 of the owners manual has the detail. Owners manual can be downloaded from gasgas.com. I do not own one so cannot tell you what my setting is.

The manual describes exactly how its done. The way in the vid isnt correct as GG states you should hold the screw with the allen key while tightening the nut, that avoids that you turn the screw uncontrolled.
