I think they are brilliant bikes over all and the counter balancer makes them even more attractive to me. But, apart from having no money available, I will never ever buy a bike in its first year. So I will start to become amazed once it has proven it's reliable.
Bought a new 2017 KTM 300 in 2016, its Mikuni carb was crap and gave me a hard time. I learned nothing, bought a 2018 TPI, one of the first in 2017. The bike was an incrdible lemon which I sold after only 8hrs and several visits at the dealer.
The Sachs forks, however, really put me off! Test rode a 2017 and the forks were way behind everything I have ever ridden and I am old and slow.
