Interesting, I just checked a US GasGas dealer for a piston without rings for my 2011, $333.95 plus tax without rings or wristpin and ciclips.

There are plenty of options for pistons and even some piston kits with gaskets included, on ebay and elsewhere. I have purchased the complete piston kit with rings, wristpin, and gaskets for $230.00 USD. It is great to support your GasGas dealer, but some items are going to be more costly through the dealer network.

I just put a Wossner kit in that I bought off a dealer and with everything came to $230 Canoodian. That's like $170USD. And Wossner is a great name in pistons.

Yes, I am putting a wossner piston in my Cr250 and it was about $170.00. But the oem GasGas pistons were $121.00 before this new dealer network was started. $121.00 to $335.00, really?

Hello There...if you go to our website you can order a quality Piston kit after market for a lot less than an oem.

Here is a link to that section:

One of the things I am doing with our new site is to offer you choice. If you want OEM it's on my site to buy, but I have been going to some extremes to hunt down a less cost alternative to OEM and not sacrifice the quality for the price. We are stocking more and more Gas Gas parts and accessories daily. If you ever have any questions, please ask. I'm here to help.

It's the dealers issue not GG.Yesterday I ordered my oem piston (rings, clips etc. included) for me MY 2015 300cc and the price was about 160?.

Buddmatto you all have the 18 XC300 in stock?

'18 300 isn't released to the public yet. And model codes haven't been confirmed. So we don't even know if it will be an XC or EC or DE or anything else yet for sure. I'd be shocked if Matto has anything for a bike that isn't even available yet.... But I'll let him answer for sure.

For once, I don't have a problem with sidetracking a thread....
Enduro models were confirmed and communicated to our dealers some time ago. It has always been XC and EC.

Sweet! Thats a great sidetrack to know. I'll have to yell at Brett from Bonjoes when we race together this weekend for not telling me.

Thanks for responding to this Budd. I know your dealerships always offers the customer options as does any smart dealer will do. Since this thread popped up, I've ghost shopped 3 other dealers, and all 3 offered me an option to genuine stock replacement, all were under $200.00.

Secondly I price checked OEM piston prices between GG and another bike brand. They were $30.00 cheaper but the part was on B/O without an ETA which means if and when the piston becomes available, the price will be "adjusted".

Just doing my job Rod. Thank You!

OK but your site said (in stock)

Sorry I will get that changed as soon as I figure out how. LOL. New site ya know. Mistakes will happen. We pushed really hard to get this site up and running. It is a lot more work than it might appear, but thanks for pointing that out. BUDD

Thanks Budd. I will definitely support the dealers by buying through the network when I can.

Error

The retail price of the piston on our dealer platform was an error. We have never sold "COMPLETE" OEM piston kits for more than $210 which includes piston, rings, wrist pin, and clips. Working with 2 different computer program companies over the last 3 months to fix these errors has been, well not so fun! It is now corrected on the dealer platform to represent our inventory control system prices. They do include as a I stated the rings, wrist pin, and clips as well.
