42 pilot

might do some early season riding. (Still plenty of snow up here) that means temps of 30F to 50F. there is a 42 pilot in there right now ... Could that be too lean if I'm out there when its closer to 30F??

I run a 40 all year. Worry more about your needle and main jet.
Not many motors get smoked under 1/4 throttle.

main is a 180 and the needle is a cck
Guess I won't worry about it too much.
Was going to hit mototown on monday but they are calling for 4" of snow ...guess I'll be doing laps around the parking lot riding the plow instead

I was out this morning in the snow with 40 pilot, 178 main and CCK on clip 2.
Bike was prone to cutting out at idle but otherwise ran very well.

I tried out a CCK 2nd click with 42 pilot and 178 main on my EC250 today on the MX track with about 10 C outside, bike seemed really lean, making a raspy sound in the midrange and cylinder was really hot on the back side, so I switched to the standard N1EF on the second click with the same pilot and main and bike ran much better with more power. CCK gave a little more torque in the low to mid revs but signed of sooner. Can you tell me why all the fuss for the CCK?

people who ride tight snotty rocky rooty woods like the smooth power delivery. i.e that particular needle has not hit. that means no theatrics in the sloppy stuff and easier to ride

Yup. Middle clip for winter, 2nd notch for summer. Set it and forget it. Plenty good enough for this B rider.
