I try to recruit off-road riders every year to this event that sets aside a class for us in a legendary motocross setting. It is the Headlight Class at the Stimilon Motocross Challenge, upon the hallowed sands of Southwick's MX338.
I'm pre-registered in Headlight and Decrepit 45+.
I go for the fun and the party. Big party Friday night with pitbike hooliganism (which last year required regrading of the pit area). Race Saturday. Bigger party Saturday night, with live music and assorted debauchery. Open riding Hangover Ride Day on Sunday, Home for Memorial Day Monday. This event is all about having fun and getting plenty of ride time too. Do not expect to be well rested when it's over.
Southwick is perfect deep sand all the way around, natural terrain for the most part, no big air unless you are scorching fast. It is a lovely place to run a GG300.

Hope to see you there.
