I was refered to LTR from a friend, and before i get it i would like to have some idea of what i need to do with it to make it run they way i want it to.
i have an 03 ec250 and i would be riding in 30-90degrees F for enduros and hare scrambles. i want it to be smooth and as a novice rider i dont need it to go crazy under me either. so anybody that has data would be much appreciated. i would be running 50:1 Yamalube 2r. any help is appreciated
Thanks!

dank,

Where are you located and what is your altitude?

Do you actually have the LTR kit or needle? I ask this because LTR is no longer selling kits.

What I would suggest you do first is get a #7 slide, the '03s came with a #6. Of all my GGs the '03 was the biggest PIA to jet right initially and it was the only bike with a #6 slide. I swapped a #7 and it was much better.

Search this forum, there is a lot of info on the kit including mine from my '03 EC250. If you do not have an LTR kit, and want a quick solution, the JD Jetting kit (generic kit for PWK38AS carb) works excellent in the 250s. Other than that, get a DDK, DEK, and CCK needle and assorted brass and go play.

as near as i can tell they are still selling the ltr kit on gofasters. i am as green as they come as far as bikes. i didnt grow up around them and my girlfriend got me into them. her dad said that changing to an ltr kit would be a good idea. i was just wondering if anybody knew of a good setup for it. i live in mid western minnesota. as for altitude, i dont know that either, though i cant probably figure it out. i looked in the settings database thread and didnt find one for the 03 ec250. but if you've done it or you know of a good kit and settings it would be much appreciated! im planning on running enduro's and hare scrambles.

set up

try cek middle jets above 50 f 42 pilot 178 main below 50 f 45 p 180 m this should get u close! if u have a heathy motor ! ltr needle with these jets is also close ! if it feels fat drop the pilot 1 size works for me ! have this set up in 5 bikes

alright thanks! ill see what i do, i may just run it like it is, for now until i get enough money to start tinkering. it runs ok, but theres alot of splooge and it doesn't run very well cold. but thanks! any other suggestions would be helpful as well!
