Bar risers?

Is there any reason why people haven't just made spacers and ground some longer bolt heads down to fit like I just have?

I have some spacer made but I removed them.
I am 1,8m (I think 6feet) tall
I started with 20mm and after I while I remove step by step 5mm until I got back to the standard. The high handle bar is nice for riding on simple tracks but when you start riding extrem the lower bar is better for lifting the front wheel. Also when riding fast on a motocross track the lower position of the bar has advantages. More feeling and pressure on the front wheel e. g. more control on the front wheel. A lower handle bar is not that comfortable but much safer to ride extrem or fast.

I'm the same height and I found on my last ride that I was having to hunch over way too much top apply any decent throttle, which got really tiring really quickly. Will let you know how I get on!

I would make sure or I guess I would recommend that you use a Grade 8 bolt or stronger when making your own mounts.

Thanks guys, I'm an engineer so I know all about tensile strength ;). That and the fda fact my last off road adventure I did 200 miles with only 1 bolt done up! Anybody want a pair made up?
