barrel ec 250

Hi. i have a ec 250 from 2004 with a nasty score in the cylinder..how will this affect performace? i been offered a good condition steel barrrel from a 98 model.any probs mounting this instead of alu one and can i use same head ?cheers Gary

you will need to get it re plated with nikasil.
my 98 cylinder is an alu one with nikasil ,
