Belt for lifting above buddyseat/rearfender

Hi,
First of all, I'm from the netherlands and trying to write as good as possible english, so please don't shoot me ;).

I have been riding 4years a KTM 450 2008 and bought a new GG 300EC factory racing 2014.
First thing i noticed between the 2 bikes, the GG rear plastic(fender?) are not so stiff as the ktm. Especially when you lift it up at the end it will twist quite a lot.

I have seen this picture. Here you see a string/belt/rope? that is placed above the buddyseat for lifting. In that case the plastics will get less stress and will live longer.

Okay, how do you call it, where can you buy it, and how much does it cost?
Thank you :)

Looks like a tugger strap to me. It's for lifting, dragging, "tugging" etc. Let's say you sink your bike into some nasty mud...the strap will offer superior leverage, for extraction. In the end, you'll likely expend far less energy retrieving a bike from...whatever. You won't have to grab & possibly damage plastics or twist subframe. Tugger straps on the fork legs offer advantage by way of connecting tow straps, or when "tugged" up a steep hill during an event where assistance is allowed. Search "Tugger strap" on You-Tube.

Hmm, I'll have to look into that kreiga unit. I have tuggers f&r and they don't really fit that well.

The rear makes it a pain to take the seat off, and the little buckles bent all to shit the first time I pulled on it in the garage on a smooth floor.

The front one slides down to one leg or another and requires messing with it when you actually need it.

Made my own out of a length of excess ratchet strap webbing (red of course) and some rivets for a tarp repair kit. Heat up a screwdriver and plunge it through the webbing for a clean hole that won't fray. Assemble your rivets and bolt it to the rear subframe. Easy on my '08, not sure on others. It lasted a full year with plenty of use and cost me a couple bucks.

I have new plastics this year and think I may slot the rear so the strap is clear and doesn't flex that part causing it to eventually show light cracking. That was my only issue.

I haven't done it yet, but I love to keep Para cord on hand. For my snowmobile I made a cover for my mountain bar using the cobra weave around it. Helped with grip and now I have almost 100' of cord to tow or mend in a pinch. I plan on making some tuggers out of paracord for the same reason. Should work great and have duel purpose.
