You can't use power tools on the fasteners. The spot welded nuts on the back side would break free and spin.
Our body shop has a special area just for aluminum body vehicles. There are dedicated tools just for al panels. If they were to swap back and forth between steel body panels, the steel fragments would corrode the aluminum panels. Bad part is, it won't show up until a few months later as blisters under the paint.
