Booysen reeds

This is the condition of the reeds on my 04 200. I see there is a slight gsp. Not going to replace them just yet. Can one reuse the gasket? Do the reeds get cleaned at all?

Your reeds look fine, I don't like reusing gaskets, but if it's in good shape it will probably work just fine. I don't think you want to "clean" your reeds maybe just wipe them off.

One screw looks loose though? Maybe just a camera angle.

It is loose as I only loosened the one side to see if I flip it over if the gap at the tip would close. Got some blue locknut stuff to use with the screws when I assemble.

Cleaned the reeds with some carb cleaner. Turned both parts of them over and they seem to be seating better.

Just need to get a new gasket I think.

Seems to have worked. I flipped the bottom as well. They where a bit sticky. Not sure what causes that. Removed the residue with carb cleaner

Does anyone know what the torque value for the bolts when putting the reeds / reed valve back?
