Carb spacer

Hi folks, I have recently purchased a 200 ec 2002 and I'm slowly working through it to see what I have. ...
So the question is, I have found that the carb is 'short' on terms of length between the boyesen reed block and the air box rubber.
Should I investigate trying to find a reed block spacer or put the rubber space from the air box to the carb.

a reed spacer from a 2001 cr250 should work as they have the same bolt pattern, you just have to watch that the screw heads on the reeds and the spacer do not hit. you may have to file some material off the back side the reed rev plate or the edge of the spacer. I had to do that with mine, it wasn't a hard job
