changing key ignition to toggle?help?

Hello everyone, looking to see if anyone has any info on wiring in a toggle in replace of the key ignition.

broke off the ignition on e start 2010 nambotin. I'm wanting to wire in a toggle so that the E start works as well as kick.

any info would be great.

Follow the information about removing the key switch. The kickstarter works when the ground circuit is open (unhook the connector). Use your toggle switch on the red and red/black wires. Closed = start circuit on.

If you want a second toggle switch for grounding the ignition use it on the yellow/black and yellow/green wires. Closed = ignition grounded.

It is best if all the functions are in one switch. With separate switches you could close the red and red/black, but the bike would not start if the yellow/black and yellow/green were closed at the same time (ignition grounded). This would be like pushing the start button while you held down the kill button.

The colours are based on 2011 wiring, but I expect your bike is the same.

thank you very much, Neil. this is exactly what i needed. I'm sure your somewhat familiar with my bike as i purchased it off Nambo-trev a month ago or so. I'm sure he's had some threads on here in regards to that thing. what a beauty of a bike.
