Hey guys, i am hearing a clinking sound when i pull up the handlebars or unload the front end over a jump. Handlebar mounts are tight, steering bearings are tight. I have isolated the noise to the front forks but have not disassembled them. any ideas?

I have a 2011 ec 300r w/ 48 marzocchis

I had that happen on a set of 45s a few years ago. It started after they came back from Ltr racing. Never did figure out what it was. It didn't seem to affect the bike in any way & It seemed to lessen over time. Eventually sold the bike a couple years later.

seem to remember reading something similar to this a while back, something to do with the inner cartridge not being bled properly. Maybe do a search. think the OP was GMP

I had that on my 2014 and found out it was my fork gaurd. When they assembled the bike at the shop the put the axle puller against the fork gaurd and every time I jumped the fork gaurd rubbed agaisnt where the fork seals sit.

OMG I've been chasing this problem for weeks. Everything up front checks out tight, but I have NOT checked this. I think this is the ticket!!!!!

I've been chasing a mysterious clicking on my 2014 too and finally found that the bracket that holds the regulator above the airbox had snapped off and the regulator was bouncing around. It's zip tied for now.

If it's that sort of clink, my brake hose makes that sort of noise if going from full extension. The hose where it widens catches on the lip if the headlight plastic

Hmmmmm....... maybe. I dont like the routing behind the number plate anyhow and have been thinking of a clean way to reroute it.
