Clutch Basket Bearings

That is what I thought. I am going to pull the basket out and check the two bearings and the bushing just to be safe. Just so I don?t have a 🤪 clutch basket failure later. Thanks for the input!👍

Remember that the bearings will "swell" when filled with oil, as they ride on a film of oil. Space is needed for the oil to fit between the moving parts.

It's not capillary action, it's something else. I just can't remember the term. But without an oil pump the oil will get pulled through the bearings for lubrication.

It might be capillary action, but I seem to think that there's a better term.

Wow, I never thought about that. I have to pull it apart to replace the plates and update the Rekluse Disc from a Core 2.0 to a Core 3.0(new rings each side and new wedges per the Rekluse rep.) This clutch has held up great, this is the first time that I have had it apart since July 2013,believe it or not.🤪
