Clutch Basket Wear (pictures)

I took my 2003 ec250 out for the second time. It seems the clutch is not always letting go which kills the motor and makes starting in gear difficult.. Since I'm the new owner I thought I should try a lighter gear oil, but I also took the clutch cover off to inspect things. I see some wear on the clutch basket and inner clutch basket. On the outer clutch basket fingers I can feel and see the wear. On the inner clutch I and see wear but I can't really get my finger in there to feel it. I can't feel it with a pic.
The steel plates are flat and the fiber plates measure between 2.75 and 2.8mm.
Is the clutch basket worn enough to need replacing???

Perfectly normal.

You can take a flat file and smooth out the grooves on the clutch basket fingers.

The inner basket indents are often the tricky ones. If you can still kick it over in 1st then you should be fine.

What the hell is a Strawberry Kiwi? I would have thought they would be bird flavoured,

It might not be the problem, but last night I found a new complete clutch from a 2010 EC200 on ebay for $100. I bought it just because of the price. Hope the new design fits.

Adjusting Hydraulic clutches was a learning experience for me. adjustment pretty much solved everything.
