Great picture.
Is this a recent one? I notice in the back ground a little snow just to the right of you...any idea of the elevation you're at? And how'd your bike run?

Thx for posting.

Taken last week, I was at 12300 feet, bike ran great. I had a 150 main in it. Temps were 70ish. I have not pulled the plug yet to see exactly how that looks. I kept the pilot and needle as is (for 5ooo ft). I bet I could have leaned the needle a bit.

I am really impressed with the bike and cannot believe how hard the motor pulls even at 12000 plus. A big difference from my 2009 250XCW 2stroke.

I will be going to CO in 2 weeks, although I will be taking my pumpkin. Where were you at? I was expecting to see more snow, since the reports we have been getting are still talking about trail and pass closures, because of the heavy snowfall this year. Plus I imagine all the creek crossings are raging?

I have just dropped too a 148M 40P 2 oz oil to 1 gal gas and the my 2011 ec 300 bike is running like a rapped APE I might even go to a 140M that is what I run in the Ktm 300 from 4000 up to 15000 Looking forward to the Crusted butt ride again this year and getting out of the Moab Heat

You will be fine. There is snow but just enough to have fun. It was the down trees that gave us trouble. Th crossing are interesting but if you cross with some help you should not have a problem.

Nice looking bike, I will be arriving in Salida tomorrow afternoon to meet up with Gasser to take his EC300 off his hands. Cant wait to hit some elevation and cool off!!!

Gasser is there now after picking up a 2011 EC250 E-start.

Another great day of riding, still some snow left but it is just enough to be fun.
Rode with Jim (from GasGas Moab and Dual Sport Utah) and friend Larry.

I was right there where that pic was taken a couple of years ago. You are in God's Country.

My favorite was the Dr. Park trail all the way down to the campground. The last 5 miles before the switchbacks is motorcycle heaven.

Hope to get back out there next year.

Me and my 08 300 just got back from a week and a half riding in Colorado. Riding with friends on a 11 Six Day and an 03 250EC, plus a few crashing pumpkins as always. We rode the Continental Divide from Monarch Pass to Marshall Pass and then took Greens Creek trail back down. We rode out of Villa Grove and over Hayden Pass to take the Rainbow Trail to Poncha Pass and then moved to Taylor Park where we rode to Tin Cup Pass and then down Doctor Park trail.
We then moved to Wagon Wheel Gap and rode several days on the great trails in that area where the National Enduros were held for a few years. Just good stuff. All of the Gassers took the beatings and kept on ticking as well as Team Junk-o-lantern. :D

The last five miles of Doctor Park leading into the North Bank Campground have once again been closed to motorcycles. You are right that it is motorcycle heaven. I've ridden it twice in recent years, but I do understand the closure. The bicyclist have spent a lot of time placing the cement berms along the trail and we do some damage there. Plus, the little Jeep trail that leads down to Spring Creek Road and the Spring Creek crossing there are great riding, anyway.

It seems alot of us have been riding in Colorado this summer. What if we all coordinated for next summer a huge Gas Gas get together and ride?

I'm in just need to get dates by Dec. so I can put in for the 2012 summer.

Anyone else?
