Hi

I've added the trailtech temp sensor.
bike is 250EC 2T
in smooth ride it shows 65-70 degrees (C)
in more technical over 80-85 and in some hard climbs with feet on the ground etc., reached 110C:eek: but no spalshing water what so ever, but smelled hot...
is it normal or do i overheat it?
warn and danger flashes can be adjusted, but the default are 90/100...
shall i raise them? :confused: ignore temp? is there an electric fan as KTM 2T have?

I put one of these sticker to check the temperature on my cylinder and the radiator and the temperature does not get higher than 75?C
A temperature of max.110?C is still ok, therfore you have the coolant and the radiator cap.
 
I don't think a fan is neccessary on a GG. I can ride with my 10 yr old on a KLX110, real slow picking through rocks and stuff, and never overheat. I never measured temps but there is absolutely no indication of overheating.

The GG trials motors are a different animal, smaller pump and radiator. My wife's Pampera has this motor and the fan runs often. KTMs may need a fan because their cooling seems to be more of a problem than a GG.
 
The TrailTech Voyager I use has temperature monitoring. My riding is typically 2nd gear single track or 6th gear fire roads. Temperature is typically 120-130*F in motion. If I get off the trail it sometimes gets to 160*F. Only if I'm really stuck and struggling does it ever reach 180*F. I programmed the indicator lights for yellow = 160 and red = 180.

Considering that there is supposed to be a 160* thermostat in the bike, I'd say it was never installed at the factory (unless it's stuck open, the rads have had equal temperatures from day one). I don't run shrouds on my bike and I have no worries about overheating. The only difference is that I don't ride on hot days (higher than 77*F / 25*C).

unfortunately, on the 5 months summer ,the days here are over 30*C.... some are closer to 40*C but than it's more of a rider overheating than the machine
the 180*F you've seen are 85*C. while i've got ~ 250*F


does anyone modded KTM fan or GG fan to fit 2T enduro? power, sensor and mounting...
 
I have the GG trials fan fitted. It comes with the cowling and just use the radiator guards to clamp it in place. I added a rectifier to be able to hook it to DC (or AC? don't remember) and then wired it to the light switch so it is manual. Just got a temp switch that I will epoxy to the radiator then it will be manual
If you have a battery for your estart it will be easier

I also ride in high temp on long walking pace climbs so do need it (agree GG has much much better cooling system to the ktm), unfortunately once the fan is fitted you need it more because it restricts airflow just by being fitted
