pscook Platinum Level Site Supporter Dec 16, 2013 #2 Wow, good catch. It doesn't look like it's at the weld, must have been a flaw in the hoop. Easy enough to get it welded, if you don't want it I'll take it off your hands.

S super_rat New member Dec 16, 2013 #3 Correct, crack was not at the weld. Last 10 minutes of my last ride was revved out in 6th at 77mph. Hate to think about would could have happened. Happy to send it to you for the shipping. It's sitting by the trash can.

I realized the spokes are removed, which means that it's just "a rim." Might as well offer it for recycle, maybe make a buck off scrap. Good thing you discovered it during inspection and not on the road. That might have been bad.
