Hi all,

Other than a Safari tank, cant seem to find any racks or other accessories for dul sport/adv riding.

Im afrer rear pannier type set up, oversized foot pegs, windcreen etc.

Any ideas?? Cheers.

We have a hard enough time finding standard parts. It's going to be tuff. The aftermarket is almost all but non existent. Many times though you can make parts for other brands fit with a little modification. My suggestion is try to find universal fit stuff and make sure the vendor has a good return policy.

Yes, I am finding this out LOL.

Ive struggled even with uni fit stuff. I could always make stuff myself, I have the skill, just very rarely have any time...

My local gasser mechanic/shop is pretty good with parts, but aftermarket not so much...

Thanks!

I can help you with one of your issues. The moose racing foot pegs for Yamaha YZ250-450 bolt right up. I have the Hybrids and they are an exact fit. They are quite a bit larger than stock. If you are in the US call Matto Cycle and they will get you the right part.

Thanks for the info guys.

Am in Australia, and our market is tiny compared with the US and Europe, so any info appreciated.

As for the wolf bags, seen them, they look great. My concern is that there is no frame rearward of the back of the seat squab (pad) just that plastic stiffener bit that has the taillight in it, so willneed to get some sort of pannier support.

Tank bag, long range tank, LED light upgrades tc, all easy to do its the extra storage that sems to be the issue.

Got a few spare threaded holes on the lower tripple clamp member, so will fab up a small front rack, maybe for light stuff like food, or tubes.

Thanks again for the help.

I've got a giant loop coyote bag for packing my gear and spares when we do 10-12 day loops in Baja. It's tougher than a 2 dollar steak, it goes on and off the bike quickly and easily at the end of the day, and it solves the problem of baggage on a dirtbike as it straps to the fender just behind your seat and it anchors on the sides at the foot peg areas. I've done thousands of km's with it in back country Baja single track, and this bag has stood up exceptionally well.

Thanks for the replies y'all.

After a week of web hunting and research, I have decided that most of the stuff I will just have to make myself

So starting this weekend, I'll be planning and starting to build...

1/. Rear alloy rack

2/. LH side alloy rack with 3lt fuel can holder
(There is a good reason not to get a bigger fuel tank)

3/. In house version of leg peg/steg peg boot rests

4/. Semi-Quasi Dakar style font face with windscreen and LED spot lights

5/. Front fender brace with small rack for tubes etc

Wide pegs I've ordered, STILL no luck on a seat thats actually made out of something softer than a house brick, but I'll keep trying.

Will try to keep the forum updated incase anyone wants to do it too, but can't promiss, known to be a slaker and go dark for medium to long periods.....

Cheers,

Adam.
