Hi there , i am new to this Forum, I have a question on my E-Starter, I am ribuilding this 300Ec Nambotin(2011) and bought all the elements of the E sart system but GasGas sold my a starter that rotates clockwise this does not let the bendix work, I wonder if I am doing something wrong or do I have to change the polarity of my starter motor? please help me find where is the answer to this problem.

rotate the cylinder part (magnet) of the ignition up side down and check again.

Ok, sounds good, has to be, because everything is in order, only that my starter turns CW when you look at it from the pinon end:mad:

Bad news, the magnets casing can not be inverted, is not symmetrical, has to be that they send me a mistaken sense of rotation, mine rotates CW( we need a CCW in the GasGas for it to work), And I do not see a way to change the polarity, the cables are too short.

Ok, after doing some reading of my EE307 book! its been 35 years, the solution is to rotate the magnet casing 90 deg, had to cut a new notch and drill couple of holes to the casing, now it start like a champ (now it rotate CCW). they indeed did send me the wrong starter motor.:o
