EC200 Rear Tire Size???

Do any of you guys that have 200's use a 100/100/18?

Or do most of you run a 110/100/90/80/18?

Is a 100 to narrow??

I run a 100/90/19 on my 125, looks small compared to my 110/100/18 on my GG200.

Any and all feed back will help...or is this just a crazy idea??

My reasons are pretty simple, 1, lose a little weight with the smaller tire, 2 after riding my 125, I just like the way the 100 tires feels in the turns.

Thanks

I like the 100/100 18 helps the 200 spool up a little quicker.
I also use them on my 150 250 and 500 because I like the way they turn also, maybe it's just me.
Depends on the tire make actual sizes vary a lot.

This is true. My Michelin M-12's in a 120 were always much smaller than any of the bridgestones or Maxxis tires I've run in a similar size.

110's on mine. I've always preferred a wider tire but always rode Florida sand and loam and it just hooks up way better, get the air pressure right and your moving.
I vaguely remember my 1982 PE175 started out with a 100 and then i tried a 110 and never looked back but i believe that different types of terrain could lend itself to using a 100 on a 200cc bike for the reasons mentioned spools up quicker, lighter and a little cheaper

I'm going to try a 100/100/18 as soon as this crappy MX51 looses it's edges.

Ok, now the tire debate will start, the Pirelli Scorpion MX eXTra X is a tire I've used before on my 125 for cross country for courses with mixed terrian.... it's lighter than the Dunflap MX51 and seems to hold up longer. That said, my 125 doesn't chew up tires that fast.

End of tire debate.

Thanks for the feed backs guys on the 100 series tires.
