Hi guys been wrestling with my gasser all day. I thought I was having a fuelling problem but after the 10th time of taking the carb off. I finally looked a for other solutions. Thankfully my friend 2 smoke Tommy was there and checked the stator...
5 of the 8 coils are screwed. 4 of them are moving loosely on there mounts and one of them is clearly snapped.
2 questions. Does anyone know of anywhere in the uk that re wires stator units? Is it viable?
Secondly can anyone recommend a replacement stator ie http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=370903749153
It's a 6 coil one and says it's an improved part of the oem part?
