Was out yesterday on my 03 ec 300 and it was cold snow still on the ground we were in forest with not much wind after about an hours riding I noticed steam coming from the overflow pipe from the rad when stopped I topped up the rad and held about 200mls of water but after about 10mins the bike started to put steam out again an was spitting the water out again. It was a lot of slow riding as I'm only getting used to it. Is there anything I can add to the bike to help cooling and wat is the best coolant+antifreeze to use. Thanks.

Was the bike running fine in warmer weather? My first thought is that you are running lean because of the cold/dense air (snow on the ground.) More fuel will help cool it down.

Hey thanks for the reply running wise it was going fine just to watm but now that you mention it I changed the jets down from a 55 and a 175 but I can't remember wat I put in i know there both smaller but they were in it when I bought it. I put the 55 and 175 in to eliminate another problem but it had nothing to do with jets so I returned it to the way I bought it. With the bigger jets in it would have lost some water but not as bad as now. I checked the impeller and its turning with the engine but doesn't look great.

Thats ugly, maybe try a water-less coolant like Evans, how about a good cleaning with vineagar and distilled water first.
