SOLD!.I recently converted my 300 to a 250 so I'm offering up the complete 01- 300 top end for anybody who wants to convert their 99 or newer 250's to a 300. This package will include the original factory A cylinder perfect cond with all power valves and power valve covers, Modified head, squish cut to R.B. style specs, 185 p.s.i. final cranking compression.The original piston and rings which appears to be usable , wrist pin , top end bearing, new circips and base gasket. $500.U.S.D. Thanks Rick for the PM. I talked to one of our group
gurus and was told that your 300 cylinder will not
fit my 1998 EC250 bottom end with out some
machine work. Oh well.

Oh really. I wonder whats up with that? Mine was converted to a 250 from 300 and my friend Gary's started life as a 250 and ended up a 300. He had the conversion done by gofasters when he bought the bike new in 06 from them, I can't see why it would'nt work on yours. would you care to share some insight? B.T.W. both bikes run great.

The '98 is different, even the head won't swap out.

98 EC250 to 300 swap

I saw your post stating that the 300 cylinder will not fit on the 98 cases .I just checked it out on a 98 bottom end I bought so I could build myself a counter-balanced 300 .The 2001 300 cylinder slides right down onto & into the 98 cases with no apparent clearance problem .I wonder what they think the problem is ?

hmmm. I better keep an eye on this thread.
I was just reporting what I was told by a good
friend and long time GasGas dealer that the
300 cylinder would not fit a 1998 EC250 bottom.
BTW, WideBear. What year is the 300 cylinder from?
& Sierra Gaser: What year cylinder did you use?
