Blue Hills Enduro/Stone Lake Enduro. Family has to come and support. It's Father's Day. The worst holiday is going to be awesome.:)

I'll be enjoying this view tomorrow as I hit the trails for a ~50ish mile ride with the guys in the coastal range of Oregon.

Then it's home to hang with my awesome family, enjoy a BBQ on Sunday and probably a few outstanding drams of good Irish Whisky and maybe a single malt or two of Scotch :D

I want to come down and ride in OR !!!

With some advance notice, I'd be more than happy to show you around the trails we have in TSF Stu. I know it'd be a trek to get down here, but there's simply nothing like riding out of Diamond Mill. I haven't been out there since April and I cannot wait to hit some of my favorite stuff again.

I try to get out every other weekend if possible; summers are always a bit nuts since we also try to get a bunch of family camping in; have track days, and of course our boys.

Anyway, I bet we could find a time that works :D

Thanks buddy!
I have been hauling lumber out of OR back to Seattle. Just need to get a bike tie down spot on my upper deck of my drop deck trailer and then take my bike where ever I am trucking.

Now that's a rig ;)

I don't think you'd want to haul that up to staging; but if you can get your bike on your rig, we could find a spot to meet on Hwy 26 and load your bike either in my truck or on my trailer some Saturday that worked.

I bet we could get a couple of fellow Gassers here to join the fun too - still haven't had a chance to ride with firffigher or HRRacing (actual GG brothers...lol) yet.

Hmmmm.

Ok, back on topic for this thread. Describing my weekend so far has involved a house fire in 110 degree weather and a dead guy! It's ramping up to be a lovely weekend.......:eek:

I'm a truck guy, in the trucking side of business, that said....they both deserve attention......however.....I partial to chrome and aluminum :D

Nice Pete! Is she kitty cat powered?

Rick - yes a 550HP CAT (a-cert) 2005 Pete
I'll PM you for more truck talk...

Here is what happened on my ride over the weekend... My worst ride ever!!

First wreck I was cruising along and an old tree stump jumped out from the high side of the trail, clipped it with my right side bark buster which then threw the front tire against the bank which then sling shot me and the bike over the edge/cliff towards the creek!!! I landed on my bottom with no injuries and the bike landed someone on a small shelf over the edge upside down...no damage but took me nearly 30 minutes to start as she was FLOODED.

And to top that I then laid her down about 20 minutes later. And had my goggles off since misty and couldn't see.
Lesson learned -- goggles do protect you.

Ripped my forehead open (small) and blood everywhere!

Anyone want a good used 300 GG??? Joking of course.

Holy carp Stu - glad you're ok :(

What area where you riding?

I've taken a few tumbles like that, but never had the bike follow me down (thankfully). Damn stumps jumping out, those type of things always freak me out when there's a decent fall on the opposite side. I actually have video of my buddy and his bike tumbling down after he hit a stump on a switch back - it was crazy.

No good on the head wound either - hate how much those things bleed.

Was there any bright side to the ride; like the next one should be markedly improved from this one...lol?

Glad youre ok. I took a twig to the eye once and I learned real quick never ride without goggles. And we don't even have any damned trees down here!

Wow Stu that looked nasty. Glad you and the bike are ok! That looked like it could have been very nasty!

I can tell you that good goggles save my eye 100% from severe damage on Saturday. I'll never ride without them!
