Flywheel magnets on 2018 GasGas xc300

I recently had a left side crank bearing go out on my 2018 XC300. This caused a piece of the magnet to break off my flywheel. I?m looking to do a complete top and bottom end job but wondering if it?s possible to just replace the magnet that broke on the flywheel instead of the entire flywheel assembly. Also looking to upgrade the stator since it was chewed up a little by the magnet. Any advice on where to get these parts including the piston, bearings, seals, and gaskets for engine would be awesome.

You can, in theory, fix the magnet but I can tell you it's not worth the trouble it would be.

As for parts, what country are you in?

I?m in the US. Tucson, AZ. I?m a TRSofAZ member too. If I can?t fix the magnet, I?ll definitely check out that $300 one from CPD. I was quoted $560 from the local MotoCenter.

Damn, we got to get together and ride my club brother! Just got my Gasser back on the trail today. She's got a few minor things to address but she's a ripper!

Congrats on getting the Gasser back on the trail. Small world, I know who you are and ride your loop at Marana all the time. I?ll see you out there as soon as I get mine squared away.

Cool. I hope you get it going as the heat will soon be upon us!
