FMF gnarly on 06 ec300

Hi Guys, was wondering if any of you have experience with the FMF gnarly and the LTR power valve cover? Does it drain the top end power or is it a nice combo? From what I can see the Gnarly is the only pipe FMF make for the 06 gasser?

I ran a Gnarly and LTR cover on an 03 300.

The pipe took very little off the top end. It didn't matter because frankly I couldn't handle the amount of power on the thing WFO anyway, not on my terrain. The combination of Gnarly and LTR cover produced so much bottom end it made the bike hard to ride on anything but straight line smooth hardpack. I.e. it would pull my arms off with the slightest touch of throttle. I dumped both of them and put a Doma pipe on. This smoothed out the response. So if you want instant low end response and torque you'll get it.

But try a flat turn on wet grass and watch everyone pass you as you try and get the backend back in line!

Both my 2000 and 2005 arrived with FMF Gnarly pipes. The 2000 is an XC and never had a screaming top end, but low-end and mid-range power is where that bike shines. The 2005 is an EC (with the dual map ignition) and stock, it would scream on top. Now with Ron's cut head, it's a beast down low and I tamed it with jetting and gearing. It's so tunable, it allows for a true do it all bike.
